We aren't professional organizers; we are ordinary people committed to action in extraordinary times.

Our Mission
Indivisible Brooklyn (INBK) is a volunteer organization dedicated to promoting civic participation and engagement in the fight for justice, sustainability, and equality. We use the Indivisible Guide's five strategies—calls/letter campaigns, town halls, meetings, public events, and elections—to push our local, state, and federal representatives to resist authoritarianism, corruption, and intolerance; protect democracy; and stand up for our communities.
Our Committees
We currently have four committees, and you are welcome to join one or more!
Policy: plans actions to pressure our local and federal elected officials to fight for democracy and justice. We organize meetings with elected officials, protests, letter and call campaigns and set core policy priorities for INBK. We also work in coalitions to support other organizations' efforts and build power across the city.
Electoral: focuses on all electoral-based work, such as our endorsement process, phone banking/text-banking/postcarding and GOTV activities.
Membership/Outreach: focuses on ways to make INBK inclusive, equitable and accessible to new and current members. This can include outreach and recruitment events like happy hours, new member orientations, trivia nights, tabling or flyering or thinking about the structure and organizational values of INBK.
Communications: focuses on our social media, press outreach, weekly emails — all of our forward-facing communication with the public.
